As you know I am getting into the military watch scene. It is a very scary scene indeed with watches from both side of the Atlantic, and not forgetting the Russian, the Japanese and the list goes on and on. I am currently focusing on 'Field' issued watches from both sides of the Atlantic. However, the way I see things, I will have to focus on either the British issued watches or the American.
As my collection stands today, I have a Hamilton GG-W-113. To this, I have added 2 British issued watches. The first is a CWC G10 watch. My carries the 0552 NSN, so it is the British Royal Navy issued watch. The other is a Precista G10. This carries the W10 NSN, as such is a 'Field' watch as it was issued to the British Army. On the way is another CWC, but with the 6BB NSN which will be watches issued to the RAF. So to complete the set, I will need to locate CWC with the NSN starting with 0555.
Anyway here is a photograph of my very small British issued military watches. Detail review to follow, soon.
On the American scene, I have a Stocker and Yale (SandY) 184A Type 2 MIL-W-46374D NIB, yes new in box incoming to complement the Hamilton. Photographs soon.
Hi all, can anyone tell me where I might be able to find a split winding stem and crown to fit my British Hamilton W10. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Eddie.
