ORSA Military Part 2

This is my second ORSA military watch. This is the black dial version. I have to admit that I do like the brand. Anyway, how I got this watch is a story by itself. It was part of a collection of watches (sold as a collection of 3 watches) on sale on WUS. I inquired about the watches and the seller did not ship outside US. I thought that was the end of that story. Hours later I got a message from another WUS member if I was interested in the ORSA and another watch (part of the collection on sale). He only wanted one of the watches and he noticed that I did express an interest on the ORSA. So we did a deal and he bought the collection and I am now a proud owner of a black dial ORSA military watch. Thank you to my fellow WUS member.

For those who did not read my post on the first ORSA, this watch is a homage to the military watches issued to the US military during the Vietnam war. From left to right, Hamilton, ORSA and Benrus. Of course the ORSA is larger at 39 mm. The other 2 watches are 34 mm.

Like I said in an earlier post, the price quality equation on this watch is awesome. For USD 35, it represent great value for money. The build quality can be seen all over the watch. The engraving/ etching on the case back is very good. It even uses a Swiss quartz movement.

Sadly I got this watch without the strap. So later it is off to the local watch shop for a strap. I will also change the spring bars as it is too thin for a single strap design.

Overall, I like the watch. I do not know if the other watches made by ORSA is just as good, but this watch to me, is one of the best value for money watch. It is large, but not too large, flat and light. It is all stainless steel, case back and case. Great watch.
