Jaeger-LeCoultre has launched a free iPhone application. the application allows you to view timepieces from JLC. The interesting aspect of the application is that it allows the user to 'practice' watchmaking. The application allows the user to assemble a chronograph mechanism (part of it), decorating and jeweling a movement, polishing, engraving and gem-setting.
The application also has a built-in comprehensive horological dictionary. There is a competition and the winner can win a guided tour of the Manufacture.
You can explore over 60 JLC models and some are interactive models. With these models, the user can test the watches and see how they work. some of the interactive models include the Master Compressor Pro Geographic (activate the depth gauge), the Master Geographic (changing the time zone), the AMVOX2 Chronograph (start the vertical-trigger chronograph by pressing the crystal) and the Reverso Grande GMT (swiveling the case).
And as with other timepiece related application, there is a boutique locater in the application.
