The Starhill Gallery in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia will host 'A Journey Through Time III' scheduled to run from the 3rd. to the 13th. of December 2009. This is the third time the gallery, will be hosting the event. The theme for this years exhibition is Time & the Environment, which pays homage to Nature. In line with this theme, there will be special talk titled 'Time & the Environment Insights' where horological experts and champions of the environment will present a series of topics relating to the environment and the luxury acquisition industry. This talk is schedule for the 9th. of December and will be led by Dr. Bernand Cheong, a noted watch collector.
Some of the exhibitors that will be in the event includes Breguet, Boucheron, Van Cleef & Arpels, Richard Mille, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Bedat & co, Audermars Piguet, Franc Villa, Armand Nicolet amongst other.
Attractions expected in the exhibition includes Richard Mille's Asian debut of the RM019 and RM025 (nominated at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genve 2009), Jaeger-LeCoultre's Master Grande Tradition, DeWitt's Rptition Minutes Tourbillon GMT Antipode, Bedat & Co's Rainbow collection and Romain Jerome's Moon-DNA collection.
The following luxury houses will also be celebrating the opening of their flagship boutiques during the event; Valentino, Sergio Rossi, Kenzo and Carerra y Carrera.
The interesting aspect of this exhibition is that unlike other watch exhibition, this exhibition is neither trade-focused or manufacture-skewed. The exhibition will be retail-focused. Having been to the last 2 exhibition I have to say that it was an interesting experience. Sadly I will not be attending this years exhibition.
