Bell & Ross 2012

I do have a soft spot for the brand and their watches, with one small regret when I traded my BR01 and BR03 for another watch. But I was happy in the end, I guess...... :)

It does not help when Bell & Ross release things like this ...

Nice pieces with an interesting question. More so pieces like these...

What with me and my aviation background. Sigh.....

Anyway, I was fortunate enough to view some of the limited edition watches from the Bell & Ross 2012 collection. OK, I know it is a bit late but better late then never? It was on a recent holiday back home and me not helping by visiting my friends at their watch watch shop.

What greeted me at their shop. Wow....

A very nice collection of Bell & Ross Limited Edition pieces. I already have the Airborne II.

I like. Had to take them out to view.

The old Compass vs the new Turn Coordinator. Same concept and construction I believe.

The 3 aviation inspired watches, from left, Turn Coordinator, Altimeter and Horizon. All Limited Edition of 999 pieces and 46mm PVD case. Both the Horizon and Turn Coordinator  are powered by the ETA 2892 automatic movement while the Altimeter is powered by the ETA 2896 automatic movement and features a big date complication.

The Turn Coordinator. Outer dial hours, inner dial minutes and inner most the seconds.

My favourite, the Altimeter. Big date at 3 o'clock. I like the design as you can still tell the date even when the date window is covered by the watch hands as you can see the date before and after.

The Horizon. Unique piece. A tad hard to tell time until you get use to it.

The WWII Bomber Regulator or Regulateur Heritage watch. Awesome watch at 49 mm (but does not feel it). I like this watch very much. Looks cool. I was told that the placement of the hour indicator at the 6 o'clock position (against the more normal 12 o'clock) is 'more accurate' and representation of the regulator design.

I love the worn gun metal PVD gray finish of the watch and coupled with the 'seasoned' leather strap makes this one very unique watch.

Not a limited edition it seems...

The 3 brothers together. I may end up getting one of these....

Hard press if had to choose between the two. But I think I would go for the Compass (from 2010).

Bell & Ross. Fashion Brand? DNA? History? I don't really care. Just come out with more of these designs.....
