This is a pictorial review of the very nice and beautiful Zenith Chronomaster reference 01 0240 410. I have to say that the watch is well made and is very comfortable when worn. Please note that the strap nor the buckle is original and alas, the watch is not mine. :)
The watch, reference 01 0240 410. Nice lovely white (silver) dial.
Functions: hours, minutes, seconds, chronograph, day, date, month, moon phase and tachymeter.
Look no further if you want a sporty dress watch. This is as good as it gets. Finishing is just awesome.
Case, stainless steel, 38.5mm diameter, 42.5mm with crown and 45mm lug to lug. The lug width is 20mm and it is 13mm thick. I just love the old school triple step bezel.
OK, admittedly legibility is not that great. :)
Just have a look at the dial. Lovely. Very nice indeed. Interesting to note that the day, date and month display has a 'speckled' finish.
The crown, non screw down. Easy to use. The crown comes in at 5.5mm in diameter and 2mm thick. Unlike normal watches, the first click is to adjust the time and the second click to adjust the date.
The pushers is also well made and easy to use. The pushers comes in at 6.5 x 2 mm. The click is very positive.
The triple step bezel. Love the grooved lugs as well.
The dauphin hands, no lume of course. All the hands are all well made. Date window at 4.30 o'clock while the day at 10 and month at 2 o'clock. Sapphire crystal.
The adjustment points for the day and moon phase. It would be nice if they (the pushers) is a bit different so that you can identify which is for which. No special tools provided, but a toothpick does the job.
The dial. I just love the domed white/ silver dial. Printing is good and I like the use of Roman numerals as the hour markers. Non of the markers are luminous.
Zenith, proudly displayed at the 12 o'clock position.
The sub dials. Engine tuned with a stainless steel rim finish. The constant seconds at 9, the chronograph sub dials at 3 (minutes) and 6 (hours). It is a 12 hour chronograph.
The movement, the El Primero caliber 410. Gold writing on the rotor.
Oh, the case back is held in place by 6 screws and you can find the following information on the case back; the reference number, Modele Depose, Swiss Made, Chronomaster, Water Resist, Zenith and Zenith logo.
Back to the movement. The serial number has been removed.
The caliber 410.
Another view.
Just look at the finishing of the movement. Beats at 36,000 beats per hour, 50 hours power reserve, 31 jewels and 354 individual parts. What more is there to ask in a movement.
Column wheel chronograph complication.
Blue screws and the column wheel.
Case back with sapphire crystal.
Can't get enough of the movement.
The watch. I like it. Lovely, comfortable and just right.
Again, the dial. Just lovely.
The moon phase complication.
The tachymeter function. Nice addition, and very discrete.
The watch again. The Zenith Chronomaster.
