Christopher Ward C900 Worldtimer

Another first from Christopher Ward, a unique Worldtimer watch. What makes the C900 Worltimer unique is that both the local time and the second time zone is read on a 24 hour scale and not the typical 12 hour/ 24 hour setup.

This is possible because the movement used to power the C900 Worldtimer, a base ETA 2893 has been modified by Master Watchmaker Johannes Jahnke. But he did not stop there. Other modifications include the addition of a rotating disk which has the time zones indicated by the 3-letter airport code via a window at the 12 o'clock position. This is further enhanced by a 3-dimensional world map (which forms the dial of the watch) which indicates the geographical location of the selected time zone in red. The caliber JJ03 is indeed a world first, and a patent has been applied by the house of Christopher Ward.

The C900 comes in at 43mm in diameter and is water resistant to 5 ATM. Each watch will be individually assembled by Johannes Jahnke and his team in Switzerland and features a hand finish 316L stainless steel case and crown. The C900 will be a serialised run.

Indeed a beautiful watch. Unique in every sense.

The awesome 3-dimension dial with the time zone indicator and 3-letter airport code at 12. The dial is also divided into 2 colours to enable the reader to know if it is day or night.

For easy reference (and to simplify the dial), the reference for the codes are on the case back.
