Shinola, a watch company based in Detroit has released their latest creation in The Brakeman watches. The watches, named after the brave locomotive brakemen of the early 1900s features a classic cushion case and movement that is American built. The watches which comes in either 40 or 46mm will be powered by Shinola Argonite 715 quartz movement that is hand assembled in Detroit from over 50 Swiss-made components. The Brakeman is also hand assembled in Detroit.
At present there are 10 different models to chose from in The Brakeman collection, featuring a stainless steel case in five different finishes, different dial colours and straps combination. The Brakeman will feature a date magnifier, SuperLuminova markers and hands and sapphire crystal. The Brakeman will have the following complications, hours, minutes, seconds and date. The watch will retail for around USD 625 to 725, model dependent.
