IWC vans...

I spotted these on my way to town today. Have to say that I am impressed. Somehow they remind me of those celebrity vans you see in South Korea transporting K-Pop idols or actors.

Most appropriate... German brand with German vans.

Miniso

I am not very familiar with this brand but from my understanding it is a Japanese/ Chinese concept store running along the lines of Uniqlo or Muji. Anyway I was in one of their stores in Malaysia recently and spotted these. Not too bad, I have to say....

Clocks, and more clocks...

Closer view and the pricing.. not too bad.

Watches, for kids in blister packs.

Battery change or so I thought...

What started as a normal battery changed turn into some thing else...

Routine battery change for my three Pulsar military watches...

Batteries ready...

The first one... This one has been 'civilianized'...

New battery installed.

Happy camper.

However...

These two... sadly the battery change did nothing. Tried swapping batteries and still nil joy. Stark realization the movement have gone kaput. So called my neighbourhood watch shop. Joy of joy...

They have the movement in stock. The movement is the Seiko 7n32.

I decided to have the watch maker at the shop do the replacement.

The new movement being prepped for the change.

Removing the hands of the watch.

The date wheel had to be changed.

All done and am very very happy. :)

Apologies for the quality of the photographs. Need to adjust the export setting.

Busy busy

The next few days will be spent bringing myself, the collection and everything else up to date. The first step is to sort out the watches....

Sorting out the wife's and kids watches...

Some of mine as well... mostly to change the batteries...

What to do with these....

More batteries to be changed...

Clean up... hehehe..

Looking for straps... even more batteries..

After all these are done... time to touch base with past supporters, friends and etc...

Bracelet adjustment

Helping out on a bracelet adjustment....

The Seiko Turtle SRPB11J1 aka Blue Lagoon. A very nice watch.

Out with the tools. Have not done this for some time.... :)

This is NOT a step by step guide. First is to disconnect the bracelet.

Store the pin properly. Careful not lose it.

The arrow indicator on the inside or back of the bracelet. It shows the direction to punch out the locking pins.

Position the bracelet on the bracelet adjustment block.

Punch out the locking pin.

The locking pin and the locking collar. Don't lose these.

You can position the bracelet near the edge of the block if the watch gets in the way. Careful to protect the watch when you are doing this. Don't want to scratch the watch. The other option is to remove the bracelet. But this makes the trying out and adjust a tad difficult. :)

And we are done.
