Seiko have released a new 2019 Limited Edition watch in the Seiko SBXC017. The watch, a Seiko Astron will be the Seiko 5X Series Shohei Ohtani Limited Edition. There will be 1,700 pieces issued.
Shohei Ohtani is a baseball player with the Los Angeles Angels. The watch reflects the colours of the uniform of the Los Angeles Angels, Red and White and the city of Anaheim (Ana -8GMT), home of the Angels, is also highlighted in red. Additionally the number 17 is highlighted on the minute marker as it is the jersey number of Shohei Ohtani.
If I am not mistaken, this watch is the second Shohei Ohtani Limited Edition by Seiko.
The watch is basically the standard Astron and comes in at almost 43mm in diameter. The watch features the standard Astron fare in having the World Time function (39 cities), Dual Time function, a water resistance rating of 10ATM and the GPS Solar functionality the Seiko Astron is known for.
